My man just took me away for a few romantic nights in the Hunter Valley to the amazing Spicers Vineyard Estate, with what was voted the No.1 restaurant in Australia in 2014
After a day off exploring (attempted cycling to wineries) , eating and drinking our way through the amazing menus at Restaurant Botanica, I took a chance on a quick spa treatment. The relaxed, luxurious Spicers retreat offered a day spa menu and there was a little 30 minute gap I jumped at. Despite having to leave the gorgeous spa suite I was staying in and the wood fireplace ,it was worth the trip downstairs.
My facialist at Spa Anise , Taya, had me booked in for an Express facial that started with a foot soak, a cosy treatment room boasting its own courtyard and dreamy skin products.
Using exclusive products from Waterlily, I just had to buy the bath oil that was in the soak, some massage oils for home and a skin booster recommended by my therapist. As products seem to walk out the door in front of my eyes, I had to get my hands on a few to take home.
Love that Waterlily is Australian owned, they use pure botanical ingredients and luxurious essential oils, even my baby got his own massage oil from the range.
My skin glowed for 24 hours, the perfect antidote to a few too many Hunter Valley Vinos, complimentary nightly cocktails and Mark Stapleton’s amazing degustation menu. And the only makeup I wore to dinner was a little red lipstick. Never mess with a facial afterglow !
